HDMI 4x4 Matrix HDBaseT Lite Kit Bundle - Full Installation Kit

Quick Overview

This bundle includes our full matrix kit (top picture - normally sold separately) and all cable, connectors, tools and wall plates to professionally install this system without needing to purchase anything else.

Our HDBaseT matrix should be located in a central location and is perfect for high end installations that require minimal installation time. Use the included CAT6 cable and run a single length to each location where a display device (HDTV or projector) is required. The matrix then allows 4 HDMI sources to be independently switched and their functions controlled via IR at up to 4 HDMI enabled display devices. The four outputs can show the same or different sources at the same time. The matrix is plug and play and is therefore suitable for DIY installers, electricians, TV aerial installers & AV installers. The matrix also features more advanced settings for AV installers if required.

Why Buy This System?

-- Supports long distance signal transmission (70m) and only a single cable run is required from the matrix to your display devices. Installation time is dramatically reduced and simplified because of this.
-- Future Proof - 3D/4Kx2K compatible
-- POH - Power over HDBaseT is supplied to the HDMI baluns
-- IR Routing -  Perfect for if you have identical source devices (2 Sky Boxes)
-- Full UK technical support provided free of charge with every purchase.

What Is Included Within The Bundle?

Matrix Kit:

1 x 4x4 HDMI Matrix HDBaseT Lite - Rack Mountable 1U, Ears Included
4 x HDMI Receiver Baluns (Extenders) HDBaseT Lite - Brackets Included
5 x IR Receivers - 1 For Each balun & 1 For The Matrix (if it is hidden)
4 x IR Emitters - 1 For Each Source Device
2 x Power Supplies - 1 For The Matrix, 1 For The HDMI Baluns
1 x Master Remote - For Use In Front Of The Matrix
4 x Satellite Remotes - For Use In Front Of Each Display Device

Key Technical Features & Specification Of The Matrix Kit

-- Bandwidth - 2.97Gbps
-- HDCP Compliant
-- Suitable for; 3D/1080P @ 60Hz 48 Bit Deep Colour 70m (230ft),
4Kx2K @ 30Hz 40m (130ft)
-- Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Pass Through
-- Dimensions - Baluns 107x107x27mm, Matrix 428x245x43mm
-- Bi-Directional IR Control - Upstream Routed IR Control (from the display devices to control the source devices), Downstream IR Control (from the matrix/source devices to control the display devices. The IR signal is not routed and is fixed from IR input 1 on the matrix to IR output 1 on the first HDMI balun, 2 to 2 etc).
-- IR routing 20-60 KHz - IR signals are routed to the correct source device from the display device. Very useful if you have two identical source devices such as two Sky HD Boxes. IR receivers connected to the HDMI baluns will route the IR signal to the correct input (SkyHD Box1 but not SkyHD Box2).

-- Satellite Remotes - These can be used to select the correct source (input) for the display device (output) you are watching. The matrix automatically recognises which display device (output) you are in front of.
-- EDID Management - More information below
-- Operating Temperature - 0 to 40°C
-- HDMI Type A (Standard) Locking Sockets, 4 HDMI Inputs & 4 HDMI Mirrored Outputs & 1 HDMI Output At Each Balun
-- 4 x RJ45 Outputs From Matrix - 1 x RJ45 Input At Each Balun
-- Power Supplies (Suitable for Rest of World) - 100-240V 50/60Hz AC, 12V DC 5A
-- POH Power Over HDBaseT - Only two power supplies are required and both can be located centrally next to the matrix. One powers the matrix and the other powers the 4 HDMI baluns.
-- LCD Display - Shows what source each output is displaying, the buttons on the front of the matrix can be used for manual selection.
-- Master Remote - This remote allows you to change the input source for any output. Commonly left next to the matrix in the central location.
-- RS232 - There is one main RS232 port on the matrix to allow control of it. The other RS232 ports on the matrix correspond to the relevant balun. The RS232 terminals on the matrix allow control, testing and adjusting of display devices (high end installation).
-- RJ45 Terminal On Matrix - To enable TCP/IP control of the matrix from a PC (installation disk supplied).

These kits are manufactured for us so we should be able to cater for specific requirements. If you require additional IR emitters/receivers or need to utilise one of the mirrored HDMI outputs (and still require IR control), please call us for technical help.

EDID Function

This is an extremely clever function that ensures you get the most out of all the equipment connected to your Matrix. This is quite an advanced setting so don't worry if you don't understand, the Matrix will work fine without changing these settings. If you would like more information, please contact us.

The matrix by default requests the following resolution and audio from the sources devices:

1080P @ 60Hz Audio 2CH PCM

The matrix can request a different resolution or audio from the source devices by altering the 'DIP switches' on the side of the matrix. For example if you had 4 TVs that were all 4Kx2K compatible and they were all be used with 5.1 amplifiers, the matrix could be altered to request:

HDMI 4Kx2K, Audio 5.1CH PCM/DTS/Dolby

When your sources are powered up or when you manually request them to determine what resolution they can output, they will go to 4Kx2K by default. If one of your TVs was 1080P, you would have to go into the settings of your source device (such as a Blu-Ray Player) and drop the resolution down manually.

If this all seems a litle too technical for you, then why not get in touch with us...
