Type of Connectors used - One connector is Type A and the other is Type C. The ‘Type’ stands for the size of connector used and the amount of pins it has. Type C is backwards compatible with type A and has the same number of pins (19). Type C is commonly used on HD camcorders and Type A is found on the majority of new TVs. Type A - Width x Height - 14mm x 4.5mm
Type C - Width x Height - 10.5mm x 2.5mm
