Twin Screened Audio Cable
What can it be used for?
This cable is suitable for low voltage stereo audio or video signals, for example connecting an amp and CD player. BNC or RCA connectors are normally soldered on, other similar connectors will also be suitable. It may also be used to transmit audio-video (AV) signals in CCTV circuits. Normally used with cameras that require mono audio and a composite feed. ThatCable supply a range of suitable connectors, and soldering kits, so you can produce a cable to your own exact specifications and length. Specification Conductor make-up - 20 x 0.12mm OFC Lap Screen - 45 x 0.11mm OFC - Per Core Diameter, External - 4mm - Per Core Impedance - 75Ω Cable type - 2-core coaxial Overview Cable features 2 shielded cores so that the 2 signals may be carried with minimal crosstalk from external sources. Due to high density shielding, the signal produced by this cable will have low distortion, low capacitance and interference, therefore it may be run over long distances whilst maintaining a crystal clear signal. Oxygen-free copper (OFC) cable core maximises signal quality throughout length of cable, ensuring clean and accurate audio or video reproduction from end to end. The cable’s figure 8 configuration allows 2 signals to be run together as one cable or split into 2 as required, they are colour coded for easy identification. Super-durable PVC outer sheath makes cable extremely resistant to breakage that may be caused by bending or twisting. |
