TOSlink male to TOSlink Male Cable

Technical Specification

What can it be used for?

Optical cables are used for transferring high quality audio signals between two devices via TOSLink connectors. Optical connectors can be found on games consoles, amplifiers, DVD / Blu-Ray players and Hi-Fi setups. This cable is compatible with any device that has an optical port using a TOSlink connector.

Particularly useful for surround sound and Dolby DTS surround sound receivers, DAT recorders and ProAudio soundcards for Digital Audio Workstations.

General Information

The high-quality fibre optic core transmits information via light, rather than electrical current. As a result it is not affected by electrical or magnetic interference, so your signal remains pure and uncorrupted. The lack of background noise means all of the cable’s bandwidth can be used to carry your signal, allowing for the strongest signal possible. The high quality fibres inside also mean that the cable provides the highest fidelity possible, and minimises the potential for phase errors.

Why Buy?

1. Nitrogen gas injected vibration absorption insulation around the fiber-optic core ensures there is reduced digital jitter, even over long runs.

2. Graded-index fiber ensures the light refraction within the cable is always at an optimum, there is increased bandwidth and data transfer.

3. Precision optical connectors ensure there is always perfect alignment between the fibre-optic ends on the cable and the lens on the input to which you are connecting. A 5mm outer diameter flex jacket protects the fibre-optic core from wear and tear, and a strain relief system projects the connector joints from damage caused by twisting or sudden tension.
