Scart to Component & Audio Cable - Component video (YPbPr) is a signal that has been separated into 3 constituent components, red, green and blue. Audio is also encorporated into the design and is stored as 2 separate signals, white (for left audio) and red (for right audio). The scart connection is wired for a component and audio output. Q. I have just purchased a Scart to Component cable from you and I am getting an audio signal but there is no picture at all, is the cable faulty?

A. Have you checked that your Scart connection can output a component (YPbPr) signal? If it cannot, then this cable will not work.



Q. I have plugged this in and there is no audio but I am getting a video signal. What can I do?

A. You have purchased the wrong cable, you need the component to scart (audio in) cable. Audio travels in one direction so it is important to check this before purchasing.
