Technical Specification One connector is Type A and the other is Type D. The ‘Type’ stands for the size of connector used and the amount of pins it has. Type D is backwards compatible with type A and has the same number of pins (19). Type D is commonly used on mobile phones and other portable devices and Type A is found on the majority of new TVs. So you can check whether you are purchasing the correct cable, the size of the Type D connectors is 6.4mm width and 2.8mm height. High Speed, compatible with Version 1.4 – The cable transfers data at a speed of up to 10.2GB/s. It's the latest version of cable and employs all current standards such as deep colour, xvYCC, 3D and audio return.
