Audio and video signals can weaken exponentially over long cable runs, causing interference and noise in even the highest quality equipment. If you need to run some cable over a long distance (Upward of 10-20m) your signal may benefit greatly from one of our CAT5 Baluns. We have Baluns compatible with HDMI, USB, XLR, RCA, Composite AV, and Component RGB. They all feature high quality connectors to ensure optimal signal transfer, and with the exception of the HDMI version, they do not require a mains power supply. Simply connect your device to the transmitter, run a length of CAT5 ethernet cable to your chosen destination and connect the receiver, which you then connect to your TV or amplifier. The signal will be transmitted at significantly lower cost, CAT5 is comparatively inexpensive, can be cut to the exact length, and, thanks to the CAT5 balun, results in minimal loss of signal.
